Behind the Scenes at Pacc

There’s much more to what happens at PACC than what you see as an audience member.
Long before the lights go down and the audience takes their seats, there’s a whole team working behind the scenes to bring each event, exhibition and creative experience to life.
It starts with programming and planning, followed by ticketing, event setup, administration and coordinating with promoters, performers, artists and workshop leaders. Our marketing team works behind the scenes to create campaigns, design artwork, update the website, prepare emails and newsletters, manage social media and spread the word about what’s coming up.
There are plenty of ways to keep up with what’s happening at PACC. Our e-news is the best way to receive the latest announcements, ticket releases, upcoming shows, exhibitions, workshops and special updates straight to your inbox. Our website is regularly updated with what’s on and all the details you need, while our social media channels are where you’ll find the latest news, reminders and behind-the-scenes glimpses.
For our exhibitions and workshops, there’s a whole other process happening behind the scenes — from preparing gallery spaces and installing artworks to coordinating artists, workshop leaders and creative activities for the community.
For performances, as the event gets closer, tickets are monitored, enquiries are answered, promotional material is distributed and final details are coordinated across the team.
Then it’s over to our technical and venue teams, who transform the space, set up lighting and sound, prepare the stage and work with performers through rehearsals and bump-in. Once everything is ready, the venue is handed over to our Front of House team, who welcome you, open the doors and help get everyone settled and ready for the performance.
From the first planning meeting to opening the doors, hanging an exhibition or welcoming a workshop group, it takes a team effort to bring every PACC experience to life.
