2-Day Tab Binding Journal Project with Janine Hughes

Ever wanted to craft something truly unique from things you already have lying around? Make a creative, one-of-a-kind themed, handmade journal? Then Join Janine Hughes for a creative two-day workshop where you’ll make a beautiful tab-bound journal. Over two Saturdays, you’ll explore a variety of junk journaling techniques — from binding and layering to adding textures and found materials.

Janine will guide you step by step, ensuring there’s plenty of room to experiment and make the journal your own. By the end, you’ll take home a completed tab journal that not only looks amazing but can also be used as a space for your writing, memories, or future creative projects.

What’s a Junk Journal?

A junk journal is a handmade book created from recycled and found materials - think old envelopes, cereal boxes, vintage magazines, fabric scraps, broken jewellery, buttons, lace, and more. They can be used for writing, drawing, memory-keeping, or given as beautiful, one-of-a-kind gifts.

Everything will be supplied in the workshop as it is a beginner friendly junk journal class, but feel free to bring your own bits & bobs if you like - photos, old papers, fabric scraps, trinkets - anything you'd love to repurpose! Please bring your own scissors if you prefer.
