Mid Winter Fundraiser Exhibition

Next date: Saturday, 11 July 2026 | 10:00 AM to 01:30 PM

Mid-Winter.png

As the cold season sets in, we’re looking for art that contrasts the chill of July with the warmth of creativity. We encourage artists to explore the season’s raw elements, from frosty mornings to the sparks of inspiration that keep us warm.

This is an open call for all ages, mediums, and skill levels. A special event bringing together artists, art lovers, and the wider community in support of future creative programs and exhibitions.

The Mid Winter Exhibition will feature a diverse selection of artworks, and visitors will have the opportunity to purchase unique pieces, with proceeds directly supporting the growth of our cultural initiatives and opportunities for artists. Visitors will also vote for their favourite artwork, with a People’s Choice Award announced at the end of the exhibition.

Why Participate?

The Mid Winter Exhibition provides artists with an opportunity to:

  • exhibit alongside a broad range of regional artists
  • share work with the community during the winter season
  • contribute to an exhibition celebrating creativity and warmth during the colder months

Submission Information

Further details on submission dates, delivery instructions, and exhibition opening will be provided upon application.

We warmly encourage artists of all experience levels to take part and contribute to an exhibition that celebrates creativity, connection, and warmth in the heart of winter.

Sales & Commission

Please note that a 30% commission will be deducted from any works sold during the exhibition, if the works provided are for sale. This contribution directly supports the gallery’s ability to deliver meaningful public programs and exhibitions for the community, helping us continue to create accessible and engaging cultural experiences.

The remaining 70% of the sale price will be paid to the artist, so please price your work accordingly.

At the conclusion of the exhibition, artists will be notified of any sales and will be required to submit an invoice to Cessnock City Council. Further details will be provided at that time.

Spots are limited, so we encourage artists to submit early.
