From award-winning Belloo comes ROVERS — a bold, big-hearted celebration of the grit and daring of Australian women.  Written by Katherine Lyall-Watson and directed by Caroline Dunphy, this contemporary two-hander comedy-drama bursts with love, laughter and raucousness.

Acclaimed performers Barbara Lowing and Roxanne McDonald bring decades of experience, charisma, and emotional depth to the stage. As friends and long-time collaborators, their chemistry is electric — making them the perfect duo to dive headfirst into this fast-paced, funny, and deeply moving epic adventure.

ROVERS is woven from true stories and wild machinations. It takes audiences off-road and into risky terrain, tracing the heartlines of Barb and Roxy’s lives while exploring the hilarious misadventures of the daring women who made them who they are today. Quick character changes, physical storytelling, and sharp dialogue combine to explore themes of legacy, identity, resilience, and the unrelenting spirit of women who forge their own paths.

Belloo is a female-led Australian theatre company known for original contemporary works including Back to Bilo, Boy, Lost (Winner –  Lord Mayor’s Award for Best Australian New Work), Hanako (Finalist – Best Independent Production, Matilda Awards 2016), and Motherland (Winner – Best Independent Production, Matilda Awards 2013; Winner – Best Overall Production, Groundling Awards 2013).
