In the Art Gallery from February 14th.
In FALLEN, Dani Marti delves into the moment where material and emotion collapse into one another. Expanding on his series Furious Red and Torn Borders, Marti transforms molten plastics, climbing ropes, reflectors, and delicate sisal threads into visceral abstractions that hold tension between fragility and force.
In Vermell Furiós , red is both substance and subject—blood, passion, violence, and creation fused in a state of primal intensity. The circular forms evoke cycles of explosion and renewal, chaos and control, matter and consciousness. Energy feels choreographed yet volatile, a universe contained within itself. In Torn Borders, woven cords strain and unravel, suggesting endurance and fracture, while the new sisal works bring a whisper of vulnerability, their fibres offsetting the rigidity of synthetics.
FALLEN traces beauty through surrender—when heat, pressure, and repetition turn resistance into revelation. Marti’s abstractions become psychological landscapes where transformation is both destructive and redemptive, a reminder that every fall contains the seed of creation.
