Exciting New Exhibits Coming to the Art Gallery
May 14, 2025

PACC’s Art Gallery is gearing up for an exciting second half of the year, filled with powerful visual storytelling, local talent, and thought-provoking installations. Whether you're a seasoned art enthusiast or simply seeking creative inspiration, there’s something for everyone in our upcoming program.

Featured Exhibits
Our next exhibition, "Butjungbaaguwa" by Nicole Chaffey, runs from June 7 to July 12. This compelling collection explores identity, memory, and the Australian landscape. As a Biripi woman and Newcastle-based artist, Chaffey’s work is deeply connected to Country and ancestral narratives. Her pieces reflect both personal and collective histories, offering a nuanced view of how the past continues to shape the present.

Join us to meet the artist and connect with the community at our Art & Glass Event on June 14, from 12pm – 2pm.
This free event is proudly supported by Lisa McGuigan Wines. Bookings are essential.

Following Nicole’s show, we are proud to present "In and Out of the Windows" by Susan Ryman, running July 19 to September 6. This vibrant showcase spans a decade of Susan’s coloured pencil work. Each work an invitation to contemplate the fragile and inevitably transient nature of being. Frail minutiae, people, moments, shadows and seemingly banal objects such as refuse are transformed into surreal dancing ghosts. Don’t miss the accompanying Art & Glass Event on Saturday, July 26 at 12pm—again, free with essential bookings, thanks to the support of Lisa McGuigan Wines.
